HARRATIN , See also:

black See also:Berbers, dwelling in Tidikelt and other Saharan oases. Many of them are blacker than the See also:average See also:negro. In physique, however, they are true to the See also:Berber type, being of handsome See also:appearance with See also:European features and well-proportioned bodies. They are the result of an See also:early See also:crossing with the Sudanese negro races, though to-See also:day they have all the See also:pride of the Berbers (q.v.), and do not live with or intermarry among negroes.
