HORDE , a manufacturing See also:

town of See also:Germany, in the Prussian See also:province of See also:Westphalia, is 2 M. S.E. from See also:Dortmund on the railway to See also:Soest. Pop. (1905) 28,461. It has a See also:Roman See also:Catholic and an Evangelical See also:church, a See also:synagogue and an old See also:castle dating from about 1300. There are large smelting-See also:works, foundries,puddling-works, See also:rolling-See also:mills and manufactures of See also:iron and plated wares. In the neighbourhood there are large iron and See also:coal mines. A See also:tramway connects the town with Dortmund.
