JIRECEK, KONSTANTIN JOSEF (1854– ) , son of Josef, taught See also:history at See also:Prague. He entered the Bulgarian service in 1899, and in 1881 became See also:minister of See also:education at See also:Sofia. In 1884 he became See also:professor of universal history in See also:Czech at Prague, and in 1893 professor of See also:Slavonic antiquities at See also:Vienna. The bulk of Konstantin's writings See also:deal with the history of the See also:southern Slays and their literature. They include a History of the Bulgars (Czech and See also:German, 1876), The Principality of See also:Bulgaria (1891), Travels in Bulgaria (Czech, 1888), &c.
