town of the See also:province of Bohol, See also:island of Bohol, Philippine Islands, on the extreme W. See also:coast. Pop. (1903) 18,114. Loon is picturesquely situated on the W. slope of a See also:hill, and is reached from the See also:sea by steps cut in the rocks. The See also:harbour is in a sheltered See also:bay on the N. See also:side of the town. The cultivation of coco-nuts, See also:coffee, See also:cocoa, maguey, See also:tobacco, See also:cotton and See also:Indian See also:corn, and the raising of livestock are the See also:principal See also:industries; there is also considerable See also:commerce and some manufacturing. The See also:language is chiefly Bohol-Visayan.
