MYSLOWITZ , a See also:town of See also:Germany, in the Prussian See also:province of See also:Silesia. Pop. (1905), 15,845. It lies on the navigable Przemsa, across which an See also:iron See also:bridge leads to the See also:Polish town of Modrzejow, 120 M. S.E. from See also:Breslau by See also:rail, and an important junction of lines to Oswiecim-See also:Lemberg and See also:Vienna. It contains a See also:Protestant and three See also:Roman See also:Catholic churches, a See also:palace and a gymnasium, and other See also:schools. Extensive See also:coal-mines are worked, and among its other See also:industries are See also:flax-See also:spinning and See also:brick-making. It became a town in 1857.
