PATTI , a See also:

town and episcopal see of See also:Sicily, in the See also:province of See also:Messina, 42 M. W. by S. of Messina by See also:rail. Pop. (1901), 5473 (town), 10,995 (See also:commune). The See also:cathedral, founded about 1300, has been modernized; it contains the See also:tomb (restored in the 17th See also:century) of Adelasia, widow of See also:Count See also:Roger of Sicily. The abandoned See also:church of See also:San Marco is built into the remains of a See also:Greek See also:temple.
