He produced numerous books (many of them in collaboration with his wife, See also:Elizabeth See also:Robins Pennell), but his See also:chief distinction is as an See also:original etcher and lithographer, and notably as an illustrator. Their See also:close acquaintance with Whistler led to Mr and Mrs Pennell undertaking a See also:biography of that artist in 1906, and, after some litigation with his executrix on the right to use his letters, the See also:book was published in 1go8.
