PIPPIN I . (d. 640), incorrectly called Pippin of See also:Landen, was See also:mayor of the See also:palace to the youthful Dagobert I., whom See also:Clotaire II. had placed over the See also:kingdom of See also:Austrasia. He was disgraced when Dagobert became See also:sole See also:king in 629, and had to seek' See also:refuge in See also:Aquitaine. Returning at Dagobert's See also:death (639), he governed Austrasia in See also:Sigebert's name, but died in the following See also:year.
