He died in poverty at Madrid on the loth of See also:July 1635. Some of his See also:works were translated into See also:English and See also:French, and See also:Scarron's Hypocrites is based on La Ingeniosa Elena; he deserved the See also:vogue which he enjoyed till See also:late in the 17th See also:century, for his satirical See also:humour, versatile invention and pointed See also:style are an effective See also:combination.
