WALLAROO , a seaport of See also:

Daly See also:county, See also:South See also:Australia, situated in Wallaroo See also:Bay, on the See also:Spencer Gulf, 123 M. by See also:rail N.W. by N. of See also:Adelaide. It is connected by rail with the celebrated Wallaroo See also:copper mines (near Kadina, at a distance of 6 m. from the See also:port). At Wallaroo Bay are the largest smelting See also:works in the See also:state, ranking among the largest in the See also:world. See also:Gold, See also:silver and concentrated ores are received from other parts of the See also:continent and from See also:Tasmania for smelting at these works, which have ample facilities for shipment. See also:Population of See also:town (Igo') 2920; of town and mines, 4866.
