ARDMORE , a township and the See also:

county-seat of See also:Carter county, See also:Oklahoma, U. S. A., just S. of the Arbuckle Mountains, about 120 M. S. by E. of See also:Guthrie. Pop. (19o0) 5681; (1909) 8959 (2122 being negroes, and 1o8 See also:Indians); (1910) 86x8. It is served by the See also:Chicago, See also:Rock See also:Island & Pacific, the St See also:Louis & See also:San Francisco, and the Gulf, See also:Colorado & See also:Santa Fe See also:railways. Ardmore is the See also:market-See also:town and distributing point for the surrounding agricultural region, which is the See also:home of a large See also:part of the See also:Chickasaw and See also:Choctaw nations. It is situated See also:ARECIBO 451 890 ft. above the See also:sea in a See also:cotton and See also:grain producing region, in which See also:cattle are raised and See also:fruit and vegetables grown; See also:coal, oil, natural See also:gas and rock See also:asphalt (which is used for paving the streets of Ardmore) are found in the vicinity.
