In her twentieth See also:year she went to See also:London, where she continued her studies. She published, in 1697, a See also:work entitled A Serious Proposal to the Ladies, wherein a Method is offered for the Improvement of their Minds. With the same end in view she elaborated a See also:scheme for a ladies' See also:college, which was favourably entertained by See also:Queen See also:Anne, and would have been carried out had not See also:Bishop See also:Burnet interfered. The most important of her other See also:works was The See also:Christian See also:Religion, as professed by a Daughter of the See also:Church of See also:England, published in 1705.
