He was admitted to the See also:faculty of See also:law in 1592, appointed See also:professor of institutions in 1599, and promoted to the See also:chair Digesti infortiati et nevi in 16o1. In 1602 he was summoned by See also:Sophia, widow of the elector See also:Christian I. of See also:Saxony, to her See also:court at Colditz, as See also:chancellor, and was at the same See also:time appointed councillor of the court of See also:appeal at See also:Dresden. After the See also:death of the electress in 1623 he returned to Wittenberg, and died there on the 26th of See also:November 1624, leaving five sons.
