It was of little importance, and is only mentioned by geographers and, in See also:inscriptions. It is situated on a See also:long, narrow See also:tongue of See also:rock at the junction of two deep glens. Some remains of the town walls still exist, and also two- ancient See also:bridges, both belonging to the Via Clodia, and many tombs hewn in the rock—small See also:chambers imitating the architectural forms of houses, with beams and rafters represented in See also:relief. See G, See also:Dennis, Cities and Cemeteries of See also:Etruria, i. 207. There was another Blera in See also:Apulia, on the road from See also:Venusia to See also:Tarentum.
