BOHEMUND II . (I1o8–1131), son of the See also:great Bohemund by his See also:marriage with See also:Constance of See also:France, was See also:born in r ro8, the See also:year of his See also:father's defeat at Durazzo. In 1126 he came from See also:Apulia to See also:Antioch (which, since the fall of See also:Roger, the successor of See also:Tancred, in "9, had been under the regency of See also:Baldwin II.); and in 1127 he married Alice, the younger daughter of Baldwin. After some trouble with Joscelin of See also:Edessa, and after joining with Baldwin II. in an attack on See also:Damascus (1127), he was defeated and slain on his See also:northern frontier by a See also:Mahommedan See also:army from See also:Aleppo (1131). He had shown that he had his father's courage: if See also:time had sufficed, he might have shown that he had the other qualities of the first Bohemund.
