CARAPEGUA , an interior See also:

town of See also:Paraguay, 37 M. S.E. of Asunci6n on the old route between that See also:city and the See also:missions. Pop. (est.) 13,000 (probably the See also:population of the large rural See also:district about the town is included in this estimate). The town (founded in 1725) is situated in a fertile See also:country producing See also:cotton, See also:tobacco, See also:Indian See also:corn, See also:sugar-See also:cane and mandioca. It has two See also:schools, a See also:church and See also:modern public buildings.
