CARCAR , a See also:

town of the See also:province of See also:Cebu, See also:island of Cebu, Philippine Islands, on the Carcar See also:river near its mouth at the See also:head of Carcar See also:Bay, 23 M. S.W. of Cebu, the See also:capital. It is connected with Cebu by a railway, and a See also:branch of this railway extending across the island to See also:Barili and See also:Dumanjug was projected in 1908. Carcar has some See also:coast See also:trade. The surrounding See also:country is rugged, and produces See also:Indian See also:corn and See also:sugar in considerable quantity. The See also:language is Cebu-Visayan. Carcar was founded in 1624.
