DOAB , Duna or D00AB, a name, like the See also:

Greek See also:Mesopotamia, applied in See also:India, according to its derivation (do, two, and ab, See also:river), to the stretch of See also:country lying between any two See also:rivers, as the See also:Bari Doab between the See also:Sutlej and the See also:Ravi, the Rechna Doab between the Ravi and the See also:Chenab, the Jech Doab between the Chenab and See also:Jhelum, and the See also:Sind See also:Sagar Doab between the Jhelum and the See also:Indus, but frequently employed, without any distinctive See also:adjunct, as the proper name for the region between the See also:Ganges and its See also:great tributary the See also:Jumna. In like manner the designation of Doab See also:canal is given to the artificial channel which breaks off from the Jumna near See also:Fyzabad, and flows almost parallel with the river till it reunites with it at See also:Delhi.
