(1901) 11,275. The town was founded in 1740 by See also:Ghazi-uddin, son of Azaf Jah, first See also:nizam of the See also:Deccan, and takes its name from its founder. It has considerably risen in importance as the point of junction of the See also:East See also:Indian, the See also:North-Western and the Oudh & See also:Rohilkhand railway systems.
