The bay, which was for the most See also:part made by See also:storm-floods in the 13th and 16th centuries, See also:measures 70 sq. m., and has communication with the open sea by a fairway, a mile and a See also:half wide, which never freezes, and with the See also:tide gives See also:access to the largest vessels. On the See also:west See also:side of the entrance to the bay is the Prussian See also:naval See also:port of Wilhelmshaven. A tiny stream, about 14 M. See also:long, also known as the Jade, enters the See also:head of the bay.
