KAPUNDA , a municipal See also:

town of See also:Light See also:county, See also:South See also:Australia, 48 m. by See also:rail N.N.E. of See also:Adelaide. Pop. (Igor), 1805. It is the centre of a large See also:wheat-growing See also:district. The celebrated See also:copper mines discovered in 1843 were closed in 1879. There are quarries near the town, in which is found See also:fine See also:marble of every See also:colour from dark See also:blue to See also:white. This marble was largely used in the Houses of See also:Parliament at Adelaide.
