For many years after his return to See also:Norway Kjerulf tried in vain to establish serial classical concerts, while he himself was working with See also:Bjornson and other writers at the See also:composition of lyrical songs. His fame rests almost entirely on his beautiful and manly See also:national See also:part-songs and solos; but his See also:pianoforte music is equally charming and See also:simple.
