LOBENSTEIN , a See also:

town of See also:Germany, in the principality of See also:Reuss, on the Lemnitz, situated in a pleasant and fertile See also:country, 25 M. N.W. from See also:Hof by railway. Pop. (1905) 2990. The town, grouped See also:round a See also:rock, upon which stand the ruins of the old See also:castle, is exceedingly picturesque. It contains a spacious See also:parish See also:church, a See also:palace, until 1824 the See also:residence of the princes of Reuss-Lobenstein-Elersdorf, and a hydropathic See also:establishment. The manufactures include See also:dyeing, See also:brewing and See also:cigar-making. See Zedler and Schott, Filhrer durch Lobenstein and Umgebung (2nd ed., Lobenstein, 1903).
