PISACA See also:LANGUAGES , the name which has been given to a See also:family of languages spoken immediately to the See also:south of the See also:Hindu Kush, and See also:north of the frontier of See also:British See also:India. The family includes the See also:group of Kafir languages spoken in See also:Kafiristan, Khowar, spoken in the See also:Chitral See also:country, and the group of Shina languages, which includes the Shina of See also:Gilgit, Kohistani, spoken in the Kohistans of the See also:Indus and See also:Swat See also:rivers, and See also:Kashmiri. Of all these Kashmiri is the only one which has received any See also:literary cultivation, and of which the number of speakers is known.
