ROCHE, See also:SIR See also:BOYLE, See also:BART . (1743-1807), Irish soldier and politician, famous for his " bulls," came of a See also:branch of the See also:family of the Viscounts See also:Fermoy. He served in the See also:American See also:War, and sat in the Irish See also:parliament from 1777 onwards, being created a See also:baronet in 1782 for his See also:loyalty to the See also:government. He supported the See also:Union, and one of his recorded " bulls "—many, however, being only fastened on him—was his See also:declaration that he would have " the two sisters " (See also:England and See also:Ireland) " embrace like one See also:brother." Sir Boyle Roche was a characteristically witty and genial Irish-See also:man, and was See also:master of the ceremonies at See also:Dublin See also:Castle.
