SWEDEN .—The archives have not yet been centralized, and large collections exist at the various ministries. The most important records, however, are the Royal Archives (Rigsarchivet), pre-served in the See also:

island of Riddarholmen, See also:Stockholm. A See also:great many publications have been based on these: there are for instance an See also:inventory, Middlelanden fran Svenska Rigsarchivet ; a See also:work bearing generally on Scandinavian See also:history, Handlingar rorande Scandinnaviens historia ; and the Diplomatarium Suecicum, which is still in progress. The See also:English See also:Record See also:Office has seven volumes of transcripts from the Stockholm archives, with a See also:report. Private collections are numerous and valuable, and a society for exploring and See also:publishing such records is supported by the See also:state.
