VILLERS LA VILLE , a See also:

town of See also:Belgium in the See also:province of See also:Brabant, 2 M. E. of Quatre See also:Bras, with a station on the See also:direct See also:line from See also:Louvain to See also:Charleroi. Pop. (1904) 1166. It is chiefly interesting on See also:account of the See also:fine ruins of the Cistercian See also:abbey of Villers founded in 1147 and destroyed by the See also:French republicans in 1795. In the ruined See also:church attached to the abbey are still to be seen the tombstones of several See also:dukes of Brabant of the 13th and 14th centuries.
