Pop. 2300. It has some unimportant manufactures; the See also:chief See also:industry is in See also:wine, of which Berncastler See also:Doctor enjoys See also:great repute. Above the town See also:lie the ruins of the See also:castle See also:Landshut. Bernkastel originally belonged to the See also:chapter of Trier, and received its name from one of the provosts of the See also:cathedral, Adalbero of See also:Luxemburg (hence Adalberonis castellum`.
