BOGHAZ KEUI , a small See also:

village in See also:Asia See also:Minor, See also:north-See also:west of See also:Yuzgat in the See also:Angora vilayet, remarkable for the ruins and See also:rock-sculptures in its vicinity. The ruins are those of a ruling See also:city of the See also:oriental type which flourished in the pre-See also:Greek See also:period; and they are generally identified with See also:Pteria (q.v.), a See also:place taken by See also:Croesus after he had crossed the Halys (See also:Herodotus i. 76).
