GOCH , a See also:

town of See also:Germany, in the Prussian See also:Rhine See also:province, on the Niers, 8 m. S. of See also:Cleves at the junction of the See also:railways See also:Cologne-Zevenaar and Boxtel-See also:Wesel. Pop. (1905) 10,232. It has a See also:Protestant and a See also:Roman See also:Catholic See also:church and manufactures of brushes, See also:plush goods, cigars and See also:margarine. In the See also:middle ages it was the seat of a large See also:trade in See also:linen. Goch became a town in 1231 and belonged to the See also:dukes of See also:Gelderland and later to the dukes of Cleves.
