LIMASOL , a seaport of See also:

Cyprus, on Akrotiri See also:Bay of the See also:south See also:coast. Pop. (1901) 8298. Excepting a fort attributed to the See also:close of the 12th See also:century the See also:town is without antiquities of See also:Interest, but in the neighbourhood are the See also:ancient sites of See also:Amathus and Curium. Limasol has a considerable See also:trade in See also:wine and carobs. The town was the See also:scene of the See also:marriage of See also:Richard I., See also:king of See also:England, with Berengaria, iri 1191.
