In current usage the term" non-conformist " is applied in See also:Great See also:Britain to any member of a church not conforming to the ceremonies, See also:worship and doctrines ("forms") of the Church of England, but is generally used of a member of the so-called See also:Free Churches, or See also:Protestant Dissenters, and is not usually applied to See also:Roman Catholics. The name can also be applied, in other countries, to those who do not belong to the established See also:religion. Strictly a " See also:dissenter " is one who dissents from the church as an " established " See also:body, or who
dissents from the See also:establishment of a See also:state church, while conforming or not to its forms, ceremonies or practice.
