He became a See also:Christian during a stay in See also:Kent, but on his return to East Anglia he sanctioned the See also:worship both of the Christian and the See also:heathen religions. Very little is known about his reign, which probably began soon after 600. For a See also:- TIME (0. Eng. Lima, cf. Icel. timi, Swed. timme, hour, Dan. time; from the root also seen in " tide," properly the time of between the flow and ebb of the sea, cf. O. Eng. getidan, to happen, " even-tide," &c.; it is not directly related to Lat. tempus)

Rxdwald protected the fugitive See also:Edwin, afterwards king of See also:Northumbria, and in his interests he fought a sanguinary See also:battle with the reigning Northumbrian king, See also:iEthelfrith, near See also:Retford in See also:Nottinghamshire, where iEthelfrith was defeated' and killed in See also:April 617. He was followed as king of the East Angles by his son Eorpwald.
