TAYLOR , a See also:

town in See also:Williamson See also:county, See also:Texas, U.S.A., about 35 M. N.E. of See also:Austin. Pop. (189o) 2584; (1900) 4211 (126o negroes); (1910) 5314. It is served by the See also:International & See also:Great See also:Northern and the See also:Missouri, See also:Kansas & Texas See also:rail-ways. It is in a region especially devoted to the growing of See also:cotton and See also:grain and to poultry raising, and an See also:annual county See also:fair is held here. In the See also:city are See also:machine and See also:car shops of the International & Great Northern railway, and cotton-compresses, and there are manufactures of cotton-See also:seed oil, &c. Taylor, named in See also:honour of Gen. Zachary Taylor, was founded in 1876, and was incorporated in 1882.
