It is one of the best harbours on the See also:west coast, being without any See also:bar, and may be entered in all weathers; even to large See also:ships it affords safe shelter during the See also:south-west See also:monsoon. At the beginning of the 18th See also:century the pirate See also:chief Angria made Viziadrug the See also:capital of a territory stretching for 150 M. along the coast and from 30 to 6o m. inland. The fort was taken by See also:Admiral See also:Watson and See also:Colonel See also:Clive in 1756.
