ALBERTITE , a variety of See also:

asphalt found in See also:Albert See also:county, New See also:Brunswick. It is of See also:jet-See also:black See also:colour and brilliant See also:pitch-like lustre. Its percentage chemical See also:composition is: 86.o4 8.96 1.97 2.93 trace 0.10 It softens slightly in boiling See also:water, but only fuses imperfectly when further heated, and it is less soluble than See also:ordinary asphalt in oil of See also:turpentine.
