But his See also:chief See also:work, the labour of fully twenty years, is entitled Dell' origine, progressi, e stato attuale d' ogni Letteratura (7 vols., See also:Parma, 1782.–1799). A Spanish See also:translation by his See also:brother See also:Carlos appeared at See also:Madrid between 1784 and 18o6, and an abridgment in See also:French (1838–1846) was compiled by the Jesuit See also:Alexis Nerbonne. The See also:original was frequently reprinted during the first See also:half of the 19th See also:century. See C.
