CHILPERIC II . (d. 72o) was the son of Childeric II. He became See also:king of See also:Neustria in 715, on which occasion he changed his name from See also:Daniel to Chilperic. At first he was a See also:tool in the hands of Ragenf rid, the See also:mayor of the See also:palace. See also:Charles Martel, however, overthrew Ragenfrid, accepted Chilperic as king of Neustria, and, on the See also:death of See also:Clotaire IV., set him over the whole See also:kingdom.
