KAILAS , a See also:

mountain in See also:Tibet. It is the highest See also:peak of the range of mountains lying to the See also:north of See also:Lake Manasorawar, with an See also:altitude of over 22,000 ft. It is famous in See also:Sanskrit literature as See also:Siva's See also:paradise, and is a favourite See also:place of See also:pilgrimage with See also:Hindus, who regard it as the most sacred spot on See also:earth. A track encircles the See also:base of the mountain, and it takes the See also:pilgrim three See also:weeks to See also:complete the See also:round, prostrating himself all the way.
