KUBUS , a tribe inhabiting the central parts of See also:

Sumatra. They are nomadic savages living entirely in the forests in shelters of branches and leaves built on platforms. It has been suggested that they represent a Sumatran aboriginal See also:race; but Dr J. G. Garson, See also:reporting on Kubu skulls and skeletons submitted to him by Mr. H. O. See also:Forbes, declared them decidedly See also:Malay, though the frizzle in the See also:hair might indicate a certain mixture of negrito See also:blood (Jour. Anthrop. Instit., See also:April 1884). They are of a See also:rich See also:olive-See also:brown tint, their hair See also:jet See also:black and inclined to curl, and, though not dwarfs, are below the See also:average height.
