(1901), 2146. Here is the See also:Protestant See also:Kingston See also:College, a See also:home for poor gentlefolk, founded by See also:James, See also:Lord Kingston, in 176o. The seat of the earls of Kingston was built in 1823. It is a massive castellated structure, among the finest of its See also:kind in Ireland. The Mitchelstown See also:limestone caves, exhibiting beautiful stalactite formations, are 6 m. distant in Co. See also:Tipperary (q.v.). On the 9th of See also:September 1887 Mitchelstown was the See also:scene of a See also:riot in connexion with the Irish Nationalist " See also:plan of See also:campaign." The See also:police were compelled to See also:fire on the rioters, and two men were killed, after which the See also:coroner's See also:jury brought in a See also:verdict of wilful See also:murder against the police.
