(189o) 1687; (1900) 6352 (1264 See also:foreign-See also:born); (191o) 14,702. McKees Rocks is served by the Pittsburg & See also:Lake See also:Erie and the Pittsburg, Chartiers & Youghiogheny See also:railways, the latter a See also:short See also:line extending (13 m.) to Beechmont. Bituminous See also:coal and natural See also:gas are found in the vicinity, and the borough See also:ships coal and See also:lumber, and has various important manufactures. There is an See also:ancient See also:Indian See also:mound here. The first See also:settlement was made in 1830, and the borough incorporated in 1892.
