JAMES (1795-1874) , See also:English astrologer, commonly known by his See also:pseudonym " Zadkiel," was See also:born on the 15th of See also:June 1795. He served in the Royal See also:Navy, but resigned with the See also:rank of See also:lieutenant in 1829. He then devoted himself to the study of See also:astrology, and in 1831 issued The See also:Herald of Astrology, subsequently known as Zadkiel's See also:Almanac. In this See also:annual pamphlet Morrison, over the See also:signature " Zadkiel Tao-Sze," published predictions of the See also:chief events of the coming See also:year. In 1863 Morrison brought a See also:libel See also:action against See also:Admiral See also:Sir See also:Edward See also:Belcher, who had accused him of obtaining See also:money by charlatanism in the See also:form of crystal-gazing. He was awarded twenty shillings See also:damages, but was deprived of his See also:costs. Morrison died on the 5th of See also:April 1874.
