JAMES (1771-1843) , See also:English classical See also:scholar and schoolmaster, was See also:born at See also:Richmond in See also:Yorkshire on the rrth of See also:June 1771. He was educated at Richmond school and See also:Sidney See also:Sussex See also:College, See also:Cambridge (See also:fellow, 1795). From 1796 to 1833 he held the headmastership of his old school, being then appointed See also:canon of St See also:Paul's and See also:vicar of See also:Edmonton. He died on the 2nd of See also:September 1843. The See also:work by which he is chiefly known is his Horatius Restitutus (1832).
