general name given to the governments _ and provinces of See also:Russian See also:Caucasia, excluding the See also:steppe provinces of See also:Kuban and See also:Terek and the steppe See also:government of See also:Stavropol. It thus includes the governments of See also:Baku, See also:Elisavetpol, See also:Erivan, See also:Kutais and See also:Tiflis; the provinces of Batuln, See also:Daghestan and See also:Kars; and the military districts of the See also:Black See also:Sea (Chernomorsk) and Zakataly. Its See also:area is 95,402 sq. in., and the estimated See also:population in 1906 was 6,114,600.
