     Magnum Opus Hermetic Sourceworks Series
This series of limited edition hand-bound books by Adam McLean were initially produced between 1979 and 1986. They were never sold through book dealers, but only by direct mail order. Consequently, these books became collectors items, often fetching high prices on the second-hand market. Only a few copies remain of some of the older titles in this series and a number are now entirely sold out. Since 1997 twenty new titles have been issued with more in preparation.

No. 43. Thesaurus Mundi
Translated with an Introduction by Paul Ferguson

I first came across this wonderfully enigmatic illustrated alchemical manuscript, the Thesaurus Mundi, over 30 years ago and have long wished to be able to produce an edition of this work. The work is found in at least six 17th and 18th Century manuscripts which are derived from an earlier 15th century parchment manuscript. It presents various aspects of alchemy through a series of emblematic tableau, symbolic drawings provided with explanatory labels. Consequently, it is a rich source of alchemical symbolism.
Limited edition of 200 signed and numbered hardbound copies. 60 full page illustrations. A5. 143 pages.
