     Magnum Opus Hermetic Sourceworks Series
This series of limited edition hand-bound books by Adam McLean were initially produced between 1979 and 1986. They were never sold through book dealers, but only by direct mail order. Consequently, these books became collectors items, often fetching high prices on the second-hand market. Only a few copies remain of some of the older titles in this series and a number are now entirely sold out. Since 1997 twenty two new titles have been issued with more in preparation.

No. 47. The Marrow of Alchemy
by Eiraeneus Philalethes

The Marrow of Alchemy is an important alchemical poem by one of the most influential alchemists in Britain during the late 17th century English alchemical revival. It is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical one. Adam McLean has transcribed this and provides notes to guide the reader through some of the obsolete English terms and expressions. He adds a short introduction to the work and its context and a more lengthy introductory essay by the well known alchemical collector and professor of chemistry, John Ferguson (1838-1916).

Limited edition of 100 signed and numbered hardbound copies. A5. 155 pages.
