His first See also:appearance (1815) was in tragedy, and for some See also:time he was unsuccessful; it was not until 1827 that he showed his real ability in See also:comedy parts, especially in plays by See also:Felix See also:August Duvert (1795-1876) and Augustin See also:Theodore Lauzanne (18o5–1877), whose Cabinets particuliers (1832), Le Mari de la See also:dame de chceurs (1837), Passe minuit, L'Homme blase (1843), La Clef dans le dos (1848),&c.,contained parts written for him. He was twenty years at the See also:Vaudeville, and completed at the various. Parisian theatres a stage career of nearly See also:half a See also:century. Arnal was the author of Epitre d bouffe (184o), which is reprinted in his See also:volume of See also:poetry, Boutades en vers (1861).
