CANA , of See also:Galilee, a See also:village of See also:Palestine remarkable as the See also:home of See also:Nathanael, and the See also:scene of See also:Christ's " beginning of miracles " (See also:John ii. 1-11, iv. 46-54). Its site is unknown, but it is evident from the biblical narrative that it was in the See also:neighbour-`See also:rood of, and higher than, See also:Capernaum. See also:Opinion as to identifica-tion is fairly: divided between Kefr Kenna and Kana-el-Jelil. The former, about 4 M. N.N.E. of See also:Nazareth, contains a ruined See also:- CHURCH
