CHARLES See also:BEECHER (1815-1900) , another of Lyman's sons, was See also:born at See also:Litchfield, See also:Connecticut, on the 7th of See also:October 1815. He graduated at See also:Bowdoin See also:College in 1834, and subsequently held pastorates at See also:Newark, New See also:Jersey (1851—18J7), and See also:Georgetown, See also:Massachusetts; and from 187o to 1877 lived in See also:Florida, where he was See also:state See also:superintendent of public instruction in 1871—1873. He died at Georgetown, Massachusetts, on the 21st of See also:April 'goo. He was an accomplished musician, and assisted in the selection and arrangement of See also:music in the See also:Plymouth Collection of See also:Hymns and Tunes. He wrote See also:David and His See also:Throne (1855), See also:Pen Pictures of the See also:Bible (1855), Redeemer and Redeemed (1864), and Spiritual Manifestations (1879).
